LHIN's to take over FHT's
On January 30th, 2012 the Ontario Minster of Health and Long-term Care, Deb Matthews, announced that the provinces' 200 family health teams will be placed under the control of Local Health Integration Networks- the regional authorities that oversee the local health care system. currently LHIN's are responsilbe for hospitals, community care access centres, mental health and addiction, community health centres and long-term care homes.
