Telemedicine RPN Approved



The Northeast Local Health Integration Network has approved the hiring of a Telemedicine Registered Practical Nurse. The City of Lakes FHT has been an active user of the Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN) for clinical, educational and administrative events since early 2011. For example, patients who need access to a specialist, who is not located in Greater Sudbury, can access medical specialists across the province of Ontario through OTN.

Our team will be hiring a registered practical nurse in early 2012 to oversee the promotion and delivery of telemedicine activities. Patients who are referred to a specialist will access the OTN network on site at any of our local clinics.
