Diabetes

In an ongoing effort to provide comprehensive care to our patients, we are developing programs and services that better meet the needs of our patients with diabetes. This program focuses on the prevention of complications arising from diabetes. It includes an annual diabetes review that provides a comprehensive diabetic examination and health review. The objective is to reduce the number of avoidable complications that can arise as a result of uncontrolled diabetes; to develop and implement a standard approach to care and management of diabetes; and to prevent and manage diabetes-related complications through collaboration and local partnerships.

A partnership is being established with the Diabetes Education Centre that gives our patients onsite access to a Diabetes Educator.
