On April 17-19, 2013 the Northeastern Ontario FHT Directors met in Elliott Lake for their annual conference.
Twenty-seven FHTs were represented at the conference.
It was an opportunity to share experiences, learn from each other and discuss priority issues and ideas for the coming year.
Presentations were made by several invited guests, including; Greg Powers and Sherri Cassin of the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-term Care; Clarys Tirel of the Association of Family Health Teams of Ontario; Richard Joly of the Community care Access Centre; Terry Tilleczek and Tamara Shewciw of the Northeast Local Health Integration Network; Johanne Labonte of HealthForce Ontario; and Christine Meyer and Lynn Kinuthia of the Ontario Telemedicine network.
